Burton Albion meet Huddersfield Town in a massive League One showdown at opposite ends of the table.
Victory would lift Burton out of the relegation zone if Bristol Rovers lose elsewhere, whilst Huddersfield can go seventh with a win if Bolton fail to win elsewhere.
Team News
Charlie Webster is suspended for Burton following his red card in their defeat at Wrexham last weekend.
Nick Akoto, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, Ciaran Gilligan, James Jones and Ryan Sweeney remain sidelined with unspecified injuries.
Huddersfield have no fresh injury concerns to report following their midweek defeat to Wycombe Wanderers.
Radinio Balker (quad), Nigel Lonwijk (hamstring), Tom Iorpenda (back), Rhys Healey, Herbie Kane, Tom Lees and Danny Ward (all knee) remain ruled out.
When is Kick-Off?
Burton host Huddersfield at 3pm BST on Saturday 12 April at Pirelli Stadium, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Burton Albion have avoided defeat in two of three previous meetings against Huddersfield (W1, D1, L1).
- Huddersfield won 1-0 in their only previous visit to Burton Albion in December 2016, albeit in the Championship.
- Two of Burton’s three previous meetings against Huddersfield were settled by 1-0 results – of which the team playing away took victory on those two occasions.
- Burton have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 12 league matches at home (W3, D3, L6).
- Huddersfield have conceded six goals without reply in their last three matches (L3).
Prediction
With two wins in their last four games, Burton really need to just trying to nick victories if want to stay up as three of their last four games are winnable – although the home game against Birmingham could be too if latter has title sewn up, but they really need to be clinical here and cut out their defensive silliness.
Huddersfield really need to turn their away form around right now because with one win in their last five on the road, I can’t see them making the play-offs without some luck if they lose here particularly after drawing blanks in their last three field trips despite the quality that they still have despite injuries.
Nevertheless this clash should be close as is usually the case but this time I really do think that Huddersfield should have enough to snatch a win – assuming that they can tighten up and be more polished than in their home loss to Wycombe.
Prediction: Burton 0-1 Huddersfield
