When Chilean born designer Micky Hurley and wife Malu decided to split their time between New York and Europe, they had found a stunning pied-à-terre in a 17th century hôtel particulier that perfectly suited their needs and aesthetics. Then while in Paris, the pandemic hit, the airports closed, Malu discovered she was pregnant again and the two bedroom apartment quickly became too small for their growing family. Join us in Paris for a behind the scenes visit with Malu and Micky Hurley and their six children in their sumptuous Paris family home.
Happily, they found their current Parisian abode, a larger pied-a-terre that became their salvation. See how Micky’s expert eye pairs his passion for antiques and textiles with comfort and color, melding European sophistication with Latin American warmth.

Both Micky and Malu were raised surrounded by art and antiques and it is that knowledge of and appreciation for collecting that infuses the apartment with both a healthy respect for the past and ease of comfort. And despite the challenges of raising six children (now seven, since filming), in a Parisian flat, they have managed to create a home that is luxurious and family-friendly.

Characterized by a curated mix of 18th and 19th century European furniture, Latin American art and bold color patterns, each piece has a significance reflecting their cultural heritage and design philosophy.

No detail is overlooked and every moment is an occasion to incorporate family heirlooms and their personal collections to celebrate a family life well lived.
