Celtic’s dominant end to the Scottish Premiership season continued on Wednesday at Pittodrie.
Auston Trusty started and played 90 minutes in Celtic’s 5-1 road victory over Aberdeen. The U.S. men’s national team defender helped Brendan Rodgers’ squad claim another three points in league play, delivering a solid defensive performance.
Trusty won four duels, made seven clearances, and made two interceptions as Celtic earned their 29th league victory of the campaign. The result extended Celtic’s unbeaten run to six matches in all competitions, heading into Saturday’s league finale.
Trusty will aim to retain his starting spot for Saturday’s clash with St. Mirren before May 24th’s Scottish Cup Final against Aberdeen.
Elsewhere, Malik Tillman sparked PSV to a crucial league win over Heracles. Christian Pulisic and AC Milan lost in the Coppa Italia Final. Haji Wright‘s season came to an end at Sunderland. Johnny Cardoso and Real Betis earned one point in La Liga action on Thursday.
