You may be able to get your hands on (or at least pre-order) a Nintendo Switch 2 sooner than expected, according to a recent posting from a top retailer, reports Android Authority.
Nintendo’s long-anticipated Direct event is scheduled to begin early next month—it’s within a few days, and some people have already started counting down the hours.
Needless to say, the company is expected to disclose the new details of its next-generation console at this event, such as the hardware, capabilities, launch titles, and others.
While Nintendo still has a few days left to reveal concrete details about the Switch 2, it seems Best Buy couldn’t wait and may have beaten the publisher to the punch.
You will be able to pre-order Nintendo Switch 2 right after the event
Best Buy Canada posted a new blog on its website on how to tune into the upcoming Nintendo Direct event on April 2.
The first paragraph of the article reveals how the event will provide a closer look at the new system and its features.
In the article’s second paragraph, Best Buy enters the pre-order details, and this is where the premature blunder occurs.

According to Best Buy Canada, customers will be able to pre-order Nintendo Switch 2 right after the event on April 2. Of course, there’s a good chance this is a placeholder that went live without correction.
However, if true, this is one significant slip-up after a leak that revealed Nintendo’s game launch strategy.
Nintendo is set to carry out its strategy in three phases. The first phase includes the first-party games.
The second phase comes into play in October or November with the launch of third-party games, and the third phase will kick off during the holiday season.
The Nintendo Direct event is set to kick off on April 2 at 9:00 AM ET—get ready to pre-order OG Nintendo Switch‘s successor right after learning all the details about it during the event.
