EFL have unveiled the shortlist for 2025 EFL Awards with newcomer, Bromley amongst the nominations.
In their first season as an EFL club, Bromley has punched above their weight and currently sit 14th in League Two in which Michael Cheek has emerged as the fourth-division’s top goalscorer with 21 goals, whilst he has also contributed seven assists.
Cheek however faces competition for the League Two Player of the Season award from Doncaster Rovers’ Luke Molyneux and former Walsall loanee, Nathan Lowe who netted 15 goals before he was recalled by Stoke.
Lowe is also up for League’s Two Young Player of the Season against George Abbott of Notts County and Bradford’s Bobby Pointon.
Woodman is up for manager of the year against Bradford’s Graham Alexander, Port Vale’s Darren Moore and Walsall’s Mat Sadlier, of which the latter three managers are looking to claim automatic promotion with their clubs.
Across in the Championship, the top four clubs will do battle for the Manager of the Season gong as Leeds’ Daniel Farke and Sunderland’s Regis Le Bris are nominated against Burnley’s Scott Parker and Sheffield United’s Chris Wilder.
Sheffield United’s midfielder – Gustavo Hamer will face off against Leeds’ Dan James and Burnley goalkeeper – James Trafford for the Championship Player of the Season award.
League One’s Player of the Season award will be contested by Birmingham City’s Tomoki Iwata, Barnsley’s Davis Keillor-Dunn and Wycombe Wanderers’ Richard Kone.
Birmingham boss, Chris Davies will face Charlton’s Nathan Jones, Wrexham’s Phil Parkinson and Leyton Orient’s Richie Wellens for the League One Manager of the Season gong.
Winners of Sir Tom Finney Award, Contribution to League Football and Goal of the Season awards will be announced on the evening, as will the Teams of the Season across all three divisions.
Other categories include EFL Green Award, Supporter of the Season and more, with the awards ceremony taking place on Sunday 27 April, live on Sky Sports Football in the UK.
