Christian Pulisic’s impressive season for AC Milan continued Friday with the U.S. men’s national team star stealing the show against Bologna.
Pulisic scored once and assisted once as the Rossoneri rallied for a 3-1 Serie A win. The 26-year-old helped kickstart the comeback result at the San Siro.
Riccardo Orsolini propelled Bologna in front after 49 minutes before AC Milan responded in a big way.
Pulisic set up Santiago Gimenez for the Rossoneri’s equalizer in the 73rd minute before calling his own number six minutes later.
The USMNT star arrived in the Bologna box before slotting home a blocked shot into the bottom-right corner.
It marked Pulisic’s 17th goal of the season across all competitions.
Gimenez would ice AC Milan’s victory in second-half stoppage time, netting his second goal of the match.
The home win moved the Rossoneri three points back of the top-six with two matches to play.
Pulisic now has 29 goal contributions this season, three more than his career-high of 26 that he delivered last season.
AC Milan will square off with Bologna again on May 14 in the Coppa Italia Final.
