Cory Hardrict and Tia Mowry have truly found their rhythm as co-parents. In a recent interview, the 45-year-old actor shared rare insights into their co-parenting journey.
In a recent episode of Sherri Shepherd’s talk show, Sherri, the Felicity actor told Shepherd his secret to successful co-parenting is “block[ing] out the noise.”
“Everything starts and ends with love. We are a family, no matter what people say. I block out the noise. My kids are going to live to see this one day, and I am going to represent for them, always.”
Hardrict continued, “If you really love your children, you won’t get involved in the noise or the mess. I make sure that I always think about them first. I put myself last. If you do that, you’re going to avoid the mess.”
To close out 2024, the Sister Sister alum shared her own view on her co-parenting journey with Hardrict.
“Happy Holidays from my family to yours! Co-parenting during the holidays is a journey—one that’s filled with a mix of emotions. It’s different, and yes, it can feel challenging and even lonely at times, especially when you’re adjusting to a new family dynamic. But over time, I’ve found the beauty in it.”
She added, “It’s an opportunity for my kids to build meaningful relationships with both parents, and for me, it creates space for self-discovery, healing, and rejuvenation.”

Hardrict and Mowry separated in October 2022, finalizing their divorce in April 2023 after 14 years of marriage. Since their divorce, Mowry has been very open and candid about her journey and new realty as not only a co-parent but a single parent as well.
“I’ll admit, as a single mom, I sometimes feel the weight because our family doesn’t look like others,” she shared. “But you know what? That’s okay. Different doesn’t mean less than. The most important thing is keeping the traditions alive for my children—because no matter how it looks, we are still family.”
The former sweetheart couple share two children: daughter, Cairo, 6, and son, Cree, 13.
