Footage emerges of Chelsea fans fighting Djurgarden fans seen in the home end, causing chaotic scenes at Stamford Bridge.
According to reports, during the UEFA Conference League semi-final second leg, Djurgården fans breached segregation by entering the Chelsea home end and climbing over or crawling under barriers to join their fellow supporters in the away section.
Djurgården fans were also gathered in two sections of the West Stand, typically reserved for home supporters.
This caused chaos before kick-off, with some Chelsea fans relocated and additional security, including riot police, deployed to manage the situation.
Before kick-off, Djurgarden fans was kept outside the turnstile gates by the Met Police, who then let them trickle through in small groups.
But 30 minutes before the game, some fans were spotted in the home end after hopping over blue mesh that was meant to keep fans apart.
There are Djurgården fans literally all round stadium. Never seen anything like this, not hiding it either. THE BEST SUPPORT ever in Stamford Bridge.
The fact that the ownership and the club allow this is beyond criticism. #CFC pic.twitter.com/a4k8n7vejh

Once the match got underway, Djurgarden fans were in the Westview zone, chanting “F*** you, f*** you Chelsea”.
Many fans on social media described it as “embarrassing” for Chelsea’s ticketing security, while others highlighted the vibrant atmosphere created by the Swedish supporters.
Despite the disruption, there were no major reports of violence, and Chelsea won the match 1-0, advancing 5-1 on aggregate.
Chelsea issued a statement following the match, saying via their official website: “The safety and security of all fans is of paramount importance to Chelsea Football Club.
“For tonight’s UEFA Conference League semi-final against Djurgarden, the club implemented increased restrictions on the sale and distribution of tickets.
“Despite these measures, we are aware of a large number of away supporters in home areas across the stadium at tonight’s match.
“We will be reviewing all ticketing arrangements following this evening’s match and commit to implementing all necessary changes following this review.
“We will also share all our findings with the Fan Advisory Board.”

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca speaking to TNT Sports: “Very happy, the job is done tonight and now we have almost 20 days to prepare for this final and hopefully we can win this trophy.
On the 1-0 win tonight: “It’s good overall, good performance with many young players. It is almost a second team. Very happy for the young boys and very happy to reach the final.”
On Reggie Walsh: “How good is he? You can see that he is a good player. He is that kind of player that we like, very good. For sure he is young and he has many things to do and to grow. Very happy for him, very happy for his family and he has to enjoy this moment.”
On the young players taking their moment: “It’s important for them, it’s important for us, it’s important for the rest. We have three more Premier League games before the final, we can be focused on that and then hopefully we can win the title.”
On the momentum Chelsea have created: “We are in a good mood, a good run of results but now we have another game in less than 72 hours so we have to focus on that. [Newcastle] is a huge game. We have three more games and they are all important.”
Chelsea captain Reece James speaking to TNT Sports: “We’re happy. We’re in another final but it is probably something we excepted coming into the game and we expect to win the competition as well. Winning the trophy would be a huge achievement.”
On having a run of games to get back to his best: “I’m enjoying it. I’ve spent a lot of times on the sidelines and this is probably the longest spell I have spent being healthy in two or three seasons so I’m happy to be playing on a regular basis and helping the team where I can.”
On whether the club is going in the right direction: “We are definitely moving in the right direction. We’re knocking on the door for Champions League next season, the table is tight and I have no doubts. We had a good result against Liverpool and hopefully we can keep momentum going and finish the season strongly.”
On academy players: “It’s great to help the young players, they are amazing talents, that’s why they are here and I help them where I can.”
On Reggie Walsh: “I’ve seen him in training but training and games is different but this is the first time I have seen him play. I didn’t realise how good he actually was.”
Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall speaking to TNT Sports: “Amazing to be in the final. We set our sights at the start of the season to get as far as we can in this tournament and it has been a long couple of months but one more game to go and and hopefully we can lift that trophy.”
On his goal: “They play with a low block but thankfully I saw a bit of space, Tyrique [George] played me through with a lovely ball, I showed a little bit of composure and it was nice to get the goal.”
On what it would mean to him to win a European trophy: “It would mean everything. A lot of people would have said we should this at the start of the season but I think if we do, we deserve a lot of credit. I know what football is like, it’s not easy. If we do win it, which I hope we can, the players and staff deserve a lot of credit. We have had pressure from the first match day, we have been professional and dedicated and now we have one more game.”
On five academy players being on the pitch today and the role he plays in helping them: “I’m just here to try and guide the young players. Reggie Yates is 16 and he was fantastic, composed. My job is just to tell them to play the game that got them there. You saw that with the players that played, very composed, very calm. That’s a credit to the academy.”
Chelsea defender Josh Acheampong speaking to TNT Sports: “Playing in the Europa Conference League has been really enjoyable, a chance to play at Stamford Bridge and away so it has been good.”
On manager Enzo Maresca: “He gives me a lot of confidence so every time I get on the pitch, I want to repay him and try my best. I love the club so as long as I can stay here my whole life, I will do it.”
On Reggie Walsh: “It’s the first time I have played with Reggie as well, I told him just to replicate his game.”
On what it would mean to him to lift the trophy: “It’s a dream, I didn’t think I would get this far in such a short space of time. If I could lift the trophy, I would be really excited, really happy.”
Twitter users gave their reaction as footage emerges of Chelsea fans fighting Djurgarden fans seen in the home end…
@bobbyc3: I have video of the many away fans taking over Westview. I saw no evidence of police or stewards. There was no additional security or relocation offered.
@timmymagnus: Was absolutely horrendous all over the ground tonight. Ridiculous amount of away fans all over and nothing was done
@Alan_Mehmet1: I was neither relocated nor were there any additional security or police deployed. I sit in the east upper to the left by the away fans and I was surrounded by away fans. It was embarrassing
@home_of_ftbl: this is complete bs. I was there. There was about 80 djurgaden fans in the east upper block 1. About 6 of them were removed after 30 mins but they then came back in the second half. Us chelsea fans in the affected area were not relocated. This is completely false
@billy_corp: Maybe if you stop turning every seat into a corporate area and pricing normal people out of games, especially in third tier competitions, ordinary fans will be able to buy tickets 👍🏻
@bradleywestlake: This is simply not true. The west upper was mixed and there was zero thought for fan safety. I’ve never in my life seen the home section of a ground need to be segregated. Absolute disgrace
@SteveM1905: I was in the East Stand Upper, completely surrounded by away fans. I had to relocate myself as did others near me. No assistance from the police or stewards who just watched it happen. One police officer was more interested in videoing those in the correct away fans area.
@DavidLindmark3: An alternative would have been to grant the request of 6000 seats for the away stand. Problem solved! You evidently don’t understand how real, passionate supporters work. They travel anyway and they buy their tickets on home team stands if not given enough from the beginning.
@katthekat75: This is an absolute lie. We were sitting in westview surrounded by away fans. No staff bothered to help out the handfull of Chelsea fans who paid to sit in a home stand only to discover their stand was literally an away stand. Shameful and should be refunded
@bobbyc3: This is not correct. The away fans in Westview upper had the run of the place. No Stewards, no police. We were not offered relocation or anything else.
Beyond a joke. All this talk about clamping down on ticket touting and their fans manage to get blocks of tickets together for a match sold on loyalty points pic.twitter.com/9oBaLG7xfv
