Hope Spring eCards Launches Animated Easter Greetings for 2025
Hope Spring eCards, a charity fundraising digital greetings card platform, announced the release of their Easter 2025 greetings ecards yesterday. In a recent blog post on the organisation’s website, it was revealed that more than half of the ecards feature various forms of animation.
According to Temi Odurinde, trustee of Hope Spring, the decision to focus on animated ecards this year was due to the high demand for videos and animated content. “We noticed that a large number of the eCards sent through our platform during last year’s Christmas season were either animated or video greetings cards,” Odurinde stated.
Hope Spring eCards raises funds exclusively for the Hope Spring water poverty alleviation charity through the sale of their donation-based digital greetings cards. Most of the organisation’s sales occur during major national holidays such as Easter and Christmas, as well as special occasions like Mother’s Day.
The trend of sending greetings digitally has been on the rise in recent years. Along with the convenience of sending greetings through platforms like WhatsApp and email, the rising cost of postage stamps has also contributed to the popularity of digital greeting cards. Additionally, there is a growing perception that ecards are more environmentally friendly than traditional paper cards.
Thanks to a recent partnership with Nigerian ICT training website Odurinde, Hope Spring eCards now has the capacity to create animated Easter ecards. The website sends some of its top video and graphic design students to assist Hope Spring in designing ecards on a pro bono basis. In return, proceeds from the eCards donations are used to build wells and boreholes in Nigeria and other countries in West Africa.
Through their charity eCards platform, Hope Spring has raised thousands of pounds, which has been used to support communities without access to safe, clean water.
