It’s similar to doing regular exercise and making a small lifestyle modification. Let’s get started with the exercises. The bad news is that no specific scientific studies have been conducted to establish that these workouts are useful in minimizing the appearance of a double chin. However, there is anecdotal evidence to support them.
Exercises:
The exercises are designed to strengthen and tone the muscles and skin that run between the neck and the jaw. Once a day, go through these six steps. Before you begin, slowly rotate your neck as much as possible, hold for 5 seconds, and then begin rotating again. Repeat on both sides at least 5 times.
1. To begin, lean back in your chair and gaze up at the ceiling. Hold for 10 counts as you push your lower jaw towards the front to feel a stretch under your chin. Return your head to a neutral position by relaxing your jaw. This should be done ten times.
2. Place a little ball or cylindrical object beneath your chin and press down on it around 25 times.
3. Return your gaze to the ceiling by tilting your head back. Frill your lips 15 times as if you’re kissing the ceiling, and make sure the area beneath your chin gets a nice stretch. Return your head to its original position once you’ve finished.
4. Stretch your tongue out as far as you can and raise it up towards your nose while looking straight ahead. Hold for 10 seconds before releasing and repeating 10 times.
