James Middleton is opening up about fatherhood.
The younger brother of Kate Middleton shared sweet insight into his life with wife Alizée Thevenet and their son, Inigo, 18 months, including how the toddler has gotten along with their six family dogs and the other animals that live at their Berkshire countryside estate.
“He spent the first year of his life thinking he was a dog, being on all fours,” James joked to Hello! in an interview published April 7. “His first word was ‘woof’—no, it wasn’t.”
“He absolutely loves the dogs, particularly Isla,” the 37-year-old continued. “Him standing up right now and Isla sitting down, they’re the same head height. He puts his arm around her neck and squeezes, and she gives him a lick on his face. I’m delighted that the dogs have accepted him, because we didn’t push him into it too much.”
James—who wed Alizee back in 2021—went on to explain how much his son has taken after him.
