B2B Marketing, the leading organization in the B2B marketing industry, has recently announced that Susannah Streeter, renowned Former BBC News Anchor and Finance & Markets Expert, will be a keynote speaker at the highly anticipated B2B Ignite conference in 2025.
Streeter will be joining B2B Marketing’s CEO, Richard O’Connor, for a keynote presentation titled “Riding the Waves of Economic Sea Change: Why 2025 is Your Pivotal Moment.” Drawing on their extensive knowledge and expertise in economic affairs and audience behavior, the duo will discuss how B2B marketers can maintain relevance and become key drivers of commercial growth, as well as a trusted voice on their organization’s board.
With her background as a broadcaster, financial commentator, and former RAF Reserve officer, Streeter is well-equipped to provide valuable insights to the B2B marketing professionals in attendance. She has anchored flagship news shows on BBC TV and radio, and is a frequent host of major conferences around the world.
During her time at the BBC, Streeter served as the anchor for World Business Report on the BBC World Service and BBC World TV. She currently hosts the Microsoft EY Tech Directions podcast “Switch Your Money On” for Hargreaves Lansdown, as well as the series “How to Grow a CMO,” where she interviews top marketing leaders from across the UK. Streeter has also moderated discussions with world leaders, CEOs, and central bankers on economic issues, tech trends, and international relations at high-profile conferences such as Deepfest AI 2025 in Riyadh, Arctic Frontiers in Tromsø, and the World Green Economy Summit in Dubai.
This keynote session comes at a crucial moment for the B2B marketing industry. With significant shifts in B2B markets, the industry is facing a critical juncture. On one hand, there is the potential for marketing to become a strategic and commercially-driven function with a strong voice in business decision-making. On the other hand, there is the risk of diminishing the discipline’s influence and reducing it to a reactive role with limited strategic input. This moment has major implications not only for the future of the profession, but also for the career advancement of individual marketers. Failure to become more commercially-driven and focused on delivering business results could result in B2B marketers being relegated to the “promotion” component of the four Ps of marketing, leading to limited professional growth and a lower perceived value in the business world.
“We will be delving into the significant shifts taking place in B2B markets and discussing why B2B marketers are at a crossroads,” said Richard O’Connor, CEO of B2B Marketing. “The macro-economic outlook, changing buyer behaviors, and evolving boardroom expectations are all reshaping the B2B marketing landscape. Our session will explore what this means for the influence, value, and careers of B2B marketers in 2025.”
This keynote presentation is designed to benefit B2B marketers at all levels by addressing the single biggest challenge facing the profession head-on.
B2B Ignite 2025 is set to take place on July 2nd in London. More information, including how to attend, can be found on the event’s website.
