Menendez Brothers Score Court Victory, Granted Resentencing Hearing
Erik and Lyle Menendez just landed a major legal win.
On April 11, 2025, a judge denied D.A. Nathan Hochman’s motion to cancel a resentencing petition previously filed, granting the infamous brothers a new hearing set for April 17.
Defense attorney Mark Geragos celebrated the decision as “justice,” highlighting their decades of rehabilitation and impact behind bars. Geragos blasted prosecutors for leaning on ‘80s-era narratives and showing graphic photos. Despite grim expressions, Erik and Lyle seemed emotionally engaged.
Supporters, including Erik’s wife and daughter, attended. The courtroom even saw actor Cooper Koch, who played Erik in Netflix’s “Monsters” series.
The brother have been behind bars for k*lling their parents as teenagers, though they claim they only did so to end years of ab*se.
What do you think about the brother possibly coming home?
