Plymouth Argyle head coach Miron Muslic doesn’t hold back as he demands ‘answers’ over Plymouth’s future with relegation all but confirmed.
Despite his efforts, with nine wins and nine losses in 23 games since replacing Wayne Rooney, Muslic is concerned about the lack of a new sporting director following Neil Dewsnip’s departure in January.
He fears other clubs will outpace Argyle in preparing for the next season. Have a watch of this from the press conference…
Argyle fans have been attacked for criticising the Club and sometimes by our fellow supporters.
But here, Muslic lays it bare. No sporting director. No recruitment. No contracts sorted for key players.
He deserves better. We deserve better. #pafc pic.twitter.com/3YEaEAAcXT

Muslic can be heard saying: “This is still a hard question for me, not because of the lack of commitment or conviction to Argyle. I’m still here without the sporting director. I’m still here without the recruitment department. That makes a job for the head coach very, very difficult. That makes success, regardless of the competition, almost impossible.
“So I would love to answer these questions and to have also clarity from my point of view because I have to to lead the staff. I have to lead this organisation, but I need also pillars. I believe, and I truly believe, in every strong organizstion regardless of the competition, Premier League, Championship, ;eague One, League Ywo. You need a triangle of a sporting director of recruitment and head coach. I’m alone for four months.
“So these are the answers here. These are the questions I need I need answers. Adam Randall, Hardy, Bundu, those guys are running out of contracts and are targets for also they to to point out couple of weeks ago already that we need to, yeah, be fast behind them because other teams will will come. So there are some questions I need answers, and then and then we can speak about the future.
“It’s never about my commitment or my conviction. I actually love this club in the last I’m just here for four months. I know it’s a hard, it’s a big statement, but I do. And in those four months, we had the up and downs. But in those four months, almost every single day because I’m outside, I like to walk.
“I like to be. And I’m not hiding in my apartment. When we play good or when we play bad, I’m outside. So I meet, actually, every single day the people the people of of Plymouth, the fans of Argyle, the Green Army, and their support is just cannot believe it sometimes.
“Because when I went to the fence after the game, I felt ashamed. I really felt ashamed because we didn’t make it. We we feel them, but the support of them is that’s that’s not everywhere the same, I guess.”
@AlanBiggs1 watched this and said: “Managers starting to tell it as it is. More power to them. First Derek Adams at Morecambe & now Muslic at Plymouth. They are in no position to answer the big questions. I guess if Danny Rohl gave free rein to his feelings at #SWFC he’d say similar to this.”
Miron Muslic doesn’t hold back as he demands ‘answers’ over Plymouth’s future, here’s how fans reacted…
@CMpafc: So glad he’s calling out those incompetent pricks. Love it
@Kyiz69: How have we gone from one of the best run clubs to this?
@RyanSkyWalker: What the fuck is @SimonHallett doing?! I get that hiring somebody for that kind of role isn’t an overnight thing, but it’s been 4 months and even the manager is left in the dark. We need to be ready for the transfer window and we don’t have anybody in the office! 😡
@Jakeyates__97: Hallett out with him in charge where heading for rock bottom
@weekzy1986: So no he’s also calling out the board, the same as alot of us fans, but for some reason the happy clappers still think Saint Hallet is the answer. The board are going to ruin this club again. This is history repeating itself from the Holloway and Stapleton days
@robo_hare73: Sounds a mess and MM is pointing out the slow pace. Not good. How has our board become so incompetent in such a short time. Thankful for what they’ve done the past few years but maybe time for SH to fully sell the club to someone who can take it forward.
@vbtspafc: History repeating himself. It’s Stapleton / Holloway all over again.
@homeslice68: Be honest, is anyone really surprised? Hallett is solely responsible for this. Dewsnip had his critics – rightly so – but to dismiss him without a replacement lined up is criminal and the recruitment needs to be in the hands of people more competent than Jimmy Dickinson.
@TheoJones03: I can’t understand why the board aren’t backing MM. The table from when he took over doesn’t lie and we will not find anyone better than him for league 1. #pafc
@SamDown93: Wow. That answer is absolute dynamite. Hard to interpret it as anything less than a challenge towards (and really, criticism of) the club hierarchy.
@pafc_brad: I fucking hate Simon Hallett and our board bunch of useless cunts. Once again a good manager will probably leave because of how incompetent they are. It’s embarrassing as fuck it really is #pafc
@JonPAFC: Holy shit this is concerning 🥴. Humble pie being eaten, I’m very much warming to MM now. Takes an honest and genuine guy to openly criticise the board, something we can all clearly see. Can’t see it going down too well with those at the top who don’t like hearing hard truths….
@argyle_analyst: A) this sounds like confirmation that Dickinson is leaving b) I get the frustration. It does feel that Argyle do not understand that time is a currency in and of itself. Yes, it costs to move faster, but tough, but it can cost a whole lot more if you move slower and fail
@Lewis_Young007: Wow this is fucking damning. Yet again, Argyle’s senior management has no clear strategy and is not communicating as such with their manager. This city deserves better than Hallet. What do Argyle fans make of this?
@mattloader12: By the sounds of this he 100% walks at the end of the season. clearly ain’t happy with how the club is run which us, the supporters have been saying this for a while now! #pafc
@janner_geek: I dont believe the Devonport End have sung a single song in support of the gaffer, since he joined. Change that tomorrow. #pafc
@ArgyleFlyer: Give him what he wants and now #pafc
@FeedTheSpud: Real question for me is why it takes us so long to hire people? Getting the ‘right’ person in is important for sure but it feels like we’ve spent over 3/4 our time in the championship understaffed?? Is that purely budget?? #pafc
@troyhill91: Regardless if he stays or goes! This bloke has been a breath of fresh air. Nothing but respect for him after highlighting the incompetency of Simon Hallett and our club! Top fella
@finallenmusic: Doubt Mr Hallett is smirking about the lack of ‘football’ people on the board now is he? Back your man or lose him. #pafc
@ripdan25: it’s all just getting a bit boring, same old crap from the people higher up, judging by this there’s also not only been a lack of communication to the fans again but also now Muslic, need to back him if we want any chance of promotion next year. Embarrassing stuff
@PAFC_TB: This is quite clearly a cry for help towards the board to sort out the structure of the club. If we do lose him then the blame firmly lies on the board, yet again #pafc
@Zach479129001: This is fantastic! People have been up the boards arse all season and saying how good they are. This is your gaffer! This is your manager telling you that he’s had absolutely fuck all support, no DOF, no recruitment team. But everyone stills has their heads in the clouds! #pafc
Laughable. Do the right thing, sell up and fuck off👍 #pafc https://t.co/Q6Rsyu74jt pic.twitter.com/ZPnsH2tWvZ

Still stand by this @SimonHallett ?? Foster and Rooney may swallow the incompetence but Miron clearly won’t. Refreshing to see the manager laying it out for all to see that the club is a shambles from top to bottom. #pafc https://t.co/TtRgOK65bg pic.twitter.com/DInltzeFde
