Virat Kohli has created another IPL record, becoming the first batter to score 1,000 boundaries in the league. He achieved this feat against Delhi Capitals, adding three boundaries to his tally of 998. Kohli now leads the chart, followed by Shikhar Dhawan (920), David Warner (899), Rohit Sharma (885), and Chris Gayle (761). Interestingly, Kohli doesn’t hold the record for most fours (Dhawan has 768) or sixes (Gayle has 357). Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson has been fined Rs 24 lakh for maintaining a slow over-rate against Gujarat Titans (GT), marking the team’s second offence in IPL 2025. The rest of the players, including the impact substitute, will be fined Rs 6 lakh or 25% of their match fee. RR slumped to a 58-run defeat, with GT posting 217/6 thanks to Sai Sudharshan’s 82-run knock. RR’s bowlers struggled, except for Jofra Archer, who dismissed Shubman Gill early.
