Following our previous report, Juventus have now announced the dismissal of Thiago Motta and the appointment of Igor Tudor as their new tactician. The Croatian will start his coaching role immediately and will lead them until June 2025 with an option for another year.
Juventus Officially Appointed Tudor as Motta’s Replacement
The Bianconeri didn’t want to waste too much time and took advantage of this current international break to consolidate their coaching situation. Following recent poor results, Juve have opted to end Motta’s tenure early and picked Tudor as his replacement.
“Juventus FC announces that it has relieved Thiago Motta of his duties as coach of the men’s first team. Juventus FC also announces that it has entrusted the leadership of the Men’s First Team to Igor Tudor who will lead the first training session tomorrow,” Juve’s official statement read.
The former Bologna boss has only arrived as Juventus’ new boss this past summer but already saw his experience in Turin ending. Failures in the Champions League, Coppa Italia, and recent poor league results eventually triggered his sacking.
Juventus are hoping that Tudor’s arrival can at least give that new coach bounce and spark that can help them finish the season well. The Old Lady only have one mission, which is finishing in the top four seat which won’t be easy with many teams are competing for it.
