Aston Villa face a difficult test against PSG in the second leg of their 2024-25 UEFA Champions League Quarter-Final tie.
Trailing 3-1 from the first leg, Villa can only progress to the semi-finals with victory by a three-goal margin or more.
PSG simply must avoid defeat or lose 1-0 to advance to the last four, but a 2-0 loss would send the tie to extra time and potentially penalties.

Stat Attack
- Villa lost their first-ever meeting against PSG by a 3-1 result away in the first leg of this Quarter-Final tie.
- PSG are making their first visit to Villa in all competitions.
- Villa have kept clean sheets in four of their five previous home games in this season’s Champions League (W3, D1).
- PSG have won one of their last five visits to English-based teams (W1, L4).
Prediction
Having been comfortably outplayed in the first leg despite their attempts to sit deep, Villa need to try and seize control of the attack early on and score first if want any chance of turning this tie around after a clinical second-half display at a deep-sitting Southampton where patience was key.
PSG meanwhile were absolutely dominant in the first leg and you have to think that they will produce more of the same, particularly given that they had a free weekend to prepare following a successful postponement of their Ligue 1 game on request which feels unfair to Villa.
The first goal though will be key and if Villa get in front then the comeback could be on but I don’t see PSG losing this such is their quality and fresher legs, but the home fans will need to make Villa Park feel like a Turkish hellish cauldron to give Villa a morale boost to try and score the opening goal.
Prediction: Aston Villa 1-2 PSG
