DC vs RR Match Highlights: The Delhi Capitals are hosting their second home game of the season, as after losing their first game to the Mumbai Indians, they advance further to the next game against the Rajasthan Royals. The Arun Jaitely Stadium once again is lit up by the sparks as Capitals look to back their winning ways.
Led by Axar Patel, the Delhi Capitals maintained a 4-match undefeated streak, and while they lost the fifth game against the Mumbai Indians, they would look to advance further and reclaim their position at the top of the points table finally with a win in the 6th game, which will be played once again at their home venue at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
The Royals, on the contrary, also faced a similar home ground defeat against the Royal Challengers on their home ground, as they are still eagerly in the quest for their next win in the IPL. They have won just two games, and skipper Samson would look to have the advantage of chasing on a smaller ground.
Can Capitals back their winning groove, or will Samson and Royals finally make a shift to winning ways? This article contains the answers to all your queries.
DC vs RR Match Highlights
DC vs RR Match Highlights: Axar and Stubbs deliver at the end to lead Delhi to below-par yet strong total

The Delhi Capitals batters could not pull off something special once again on their home venue, despite Abhishek Porel playing well in the powerplay and looking to capitalize upfront. Another disappointing show from Jake Fraser-McGurk and the unfortunate run-out of last match’s surprise package, Karun Nair, marked the lows of Delhi Capitals’ innings.
KL Rahul and Porel built a partnership in the middle phase; however, it did not help the Capitals, as both batters scored almost a run a ball, striking at a strike rate of not more than 110. After KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs were both dismissed in back-to-back overs, the skipper, Axar Patel, tackled the spinners and smashed them to all corners of the ground, scoring nearly at 240.
Tristan Stubbs combined with Ashutosh Sharma to hand the Delhi Capitals a decent, though not the best, finish to their innings. Delhi Capitals finished 188/5, thus setting a target of 189 runs for the opposition.
DC vs RR Match Highlights: Dropped Catches, Missed Opportunities and more still Delhi Capitals take it to the Super Over

Rajasthan Royals once again had one of the best starts to their innings, with their standout openers delivering on another occasion. Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal’s dynamic duo helped them take a huge advantage in the powerplay with a 61-run partnership in 5.3 overs. This was intervened by the RR skipper walking off the ground due to a pull he faced while batting against the spinner.
Since Riyan Parag could not get going, while Jaiswal, alongside Nitish Rana, built on another partnership, and the drop chance of Rana in the 15th over on the ball of Axar helped him go further strongly without stressing about the fear of being dismissed. Rana took Axar and later Kuldeep for runs, which eased the pressure on the batting team.
Delhi never looked in the game after having given Nitish Rana two lifelines, once with a dropped catch and just two balls later with an LBW decision that was not referred by the wicketkeeper. Rana, until dismissed by Starc in the 18th over, single-handedly, alongside Jurel, took the game away from the Capitals. However, two stunning overs from Mitchell Starc—he bowled 6 perfect yorkers in the last over to defend just 9 runs of the final over against a batter like Hetmyer.
DC vs RR Match Head to the Super Over: First Super Over of IPL 2025

RR Super-Over: The Rajasthan Royals coined Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer as their super-over starters, and Mitchell Starc delivered for DC. The Australian world champions delivered a great 11-run over with two run-out dismissals, as the Royals could not complete even their quartet of deliveries.
DC Super-Over: The Delhi Capitals had no surprises in their bag, with the likes of KL Rahul, Tristan Stubbs and Ashutosh Sharma looking obvious. Rahul picked the bowler well after a tight double in the first ball, his 7 off 3, and Stubbs hit a humongous six off his very first ball, thus taking the Capitals to their 5th win.
