Thailand’s Future Mobility 2025 event aims to establish the country as a hub for innovative auto parts manufacturing, showcasing advancements in electric vehicles, sustainable technologies, and fostering international partnerships.
Thailand is positioning itself as a hub for future mobility manufacturing with the inaugural Future Mobility Thailand 2025 event, organized by the Thai Auto Parts Manufacturers Association (TAPMA). Scheduled for April 3-5, 2025, at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre, this event aims to showcase the country’s automotive capabilities while fostering international partnerships in EV and automotive technologies.
The event will feature key speakers, including H.E. Mr. Akanat Promphan, Minister of Industry, and prominent industry figures. Key zones will highlight advancements in electric vehicle technology, advanced driving systems, and eco-friendly automotive solutions, emphasizing Thailand’s role as a global auto parts production center.
Furthermore, the event supports Thai SMEs facing challenges in the shift towards smart mobility and EV production. TAPMA, in collaboration with various associations, is implementing policies to promote local production and workforce training, ensuring that Thailand remains competitive in the evolving global automotive landscape.
Future Mobility Thailand 2025 will bring together auto parts manufacturers, electric vehicle (EV) technology developers, supply chain service providers, research institutions, and global investors. The event is designed to foster collaboration, showcase Thailand’s advanced manufacturing capabilities, and explore business opportunities in emerging areas such as electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs and PHEVs), autonomous driving systems, and connected vehicle technologies. Supported by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) and other key industry partners, the initiative underscores Thailand’s strategic role as ASEAN’s largest automotive production hub and a top global player, with an annual production capacity exceeding 1.9 million vehicles.
TAPMA’s leadership has emphasized the event’s significance. Deputy Secretary-General Suphot Sukphisarn highlighted Thailand’s robust supply chain and adaptability to technological trends, noting that the event offers a vital platform to expand into new markets and strengthen global partnerships. Vice President of Foreign Affairs Swaek Prakitritanon added that with over 1,800 manufacturers driving innovation, Thailand is solidifying its status as a key production hub, particularly in the rapidly growing EV sector, where sales are projected to exceed 100,000 units in 2024 and account for 30% of vehicle production by 2030.
The initiative also aims to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by integrating them into modern supply chains through consultancy, training, and financial programs, ensuring they remain competitive in the shift toward sustainable mobility. Future Mobility Thailand 2025 is poised to be a pivotal moment for the Thai auto parts industry, driving innovation, economic growth, and international collaboration.
