Trump’s tariffs place 77% tax on manufacturer’s profits: TS Lombard

President Donald Trump’s “Liberation Day” levies are about $530 billion of tariffs, placing a 1.8% tax on U.S. GDP, an 8.4% tax on consumer goods spending, an 18% tax on manufacturing GDP and a 77% tax on manufacturer’s profits, said TS Lombard in an investor note.
