The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched a new Aadhaar mobile application, currently in its beta testing phase, designed to give users full control over their personal information during identity verification.
This digital initiative allows users to verify and share their Aadhaar details securely, with the process now as simple as making a UPI payment. With just a tap, users can choose to share only the necessary data, ensuring complete privacy and consent-based access.
The app eliminates the need for traditional methods such as photocopying or scanning Aadhaar cards. Users can instead scan a QR code or interact with a requesting application to share their Aadhaar details digitally and securely.
Here is the list of key benefits of the application:
– Enhanced privacy and data control for users
-Protection against data misuse and unauthorized sharing
-Prevention of forgery or tampering, such as photoshopped Aadhaar copies
