The U.S. men’s national team has surprisingly not moved in the April FIFA Rankings.
Mauricio Pochettino’s squad stay ranked No. 16 in the second rankings of 2025, FIFA announced Thursday. Despite losing both of their CONCACAF Nations League matches in March, the Americans remained in the Top 25.
The USMNT suffered a 1-0 semifinal loss to Panama before eventually losing 2-1 against Canada in the third-place match.
It marked the first time that the Americans lost back-to-back matches against CONCACAF opponents since 2019.
Mexico, who won the Nations League for the first time, moved up to one spot behind the USMNT at No. 17.
Canada (No. 30), Panama (No. 33), Costa Rica (No. 54) and Jamaica (No. 63) round out CONCACAF’s top-six nations.
Reigning FIFA World Cup and Copa America champions Argentina remained in the No. 1 spot while Spain, France, England, and Brazil round out the top five.
Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Italy, and Germany round out the Top 10.
The USMNT’s next chance to improve their FIFA Ranking comes in June when they face No. 27 Turkey and No. 20 Switzerland in home friendlies.
