Harry Kane moved one step closer to becoming England’s all-time leading goalscorer by scoring the winner from the penalty spot against Switzerland on Saturday.
The Tottenham striker’s late spot kick saw him move above Gary Lineker, level with Sir Bobby Charlton, and only four behind Wayne Rooney.
Luke Shaw had cancelled out Breel Embolo’s early opener before Kane hammered home a VAR-overturned penalty to ensure the Three Lions made the perfect start to 2022.
