Prediction
Having executed two clinical yet defensively well-organised victories over Arsenal and Leicester in their last two matches, West Ham have began to find some confidence which they can build on if they can control this game and execute their chances especially with Newcastle’s left flank now more vulnerable.
Newcastle though will be eager to produce an immediate reaction to their difficult FA Cup exit against Brighton because they played well initially, although ideas soon began to dry up once Brighton upped their intensity and the Magpies ultimately were outclassed in extra-time amidst disciplinary issues for both teams.
Victory also is important for Newcastle in terms of building momentum to take into next weekend’s Carabao Cup Final against Liverpool, but if West Ham turn up and continue to play like they’ve done lately then they should nick a point here.
Prediction: West Ham 1-1 Newcastle
