Chelsea continue their top-four push in a Premier League clash against London rivals, Tottenham.
Victory will see Chelsea climb back up to fourth in the table, whilst Tottenham can move up to 13th with a win.
Team News
Cole Palmer is set to be available for Chelsea after he withdrew from international duty for England due to a muscle injury.
Marc Guiu (muscle), Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke (both hamstring) could also feature but Mykhailo Mudryk (suspension) and Omari Kellyman (hamstring) are still ruled out.
Tottenham will have Lucas Bergvall available despite the young attacking player having suffered illness during the international break.
Dejan Kulusevski (foot), Richarlison (calf), Kevin Danso (hamstring) and Radu Dragusin (ACL) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Chelsea host Tottenham at Stamford Bridge on Thursday 3 April at 8pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Chelsea have lost one of their last five meetings against Tottenham (W3, D1, L1).
- Tottenham are winless in their last six league visits to Chelsea (D2, L4).
- Chelsea have won two of their last three home games against Tottenham by 2-0 results, either side of a 2-2 draw in August 2022.
- Chelsea have scored five goals without conceding in their last two league matches at home (W2).
- Dominic Solanke has won more aerial duels in the top-flight this season than any other Tottenham player (38).
Prediction
Given how close the top-four race is at present, Chelsea can’t afford any slip-ups and need to be more consistent than they’ve been in recent months whilst their final touch must improve on a lacklustre effort at Arsenal before the international break.
Tottenham meanwhile were just sloppy from a defensive perspective in their defeat at Fulham whilst their attack failed to find much spark until the second half with little quality, so a massive improvement is needed despite their priority now lying in the Europa League.
I honestly just feel like this will be cagey with both teams tightening up defensively so a draw would be a safe guess.
Prediction: Chelsea 1-1 Tottenham
