Manchester United host local rivals, Manchester City at Old Trafford as both teams seek a moment of joy in a tough season.
Should Tottenham win their game, Man Utd could reclaim 13th in the table with a draw or victory.
City could climb to fourth with a win if Chelsea lose at Brentford in the mid-afternoon kick-offs.
Team News
Matthijs De Ligt is a doubt for Man Utd after he suffered an ankle injury during their 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest, although he did complete the entire match despite his injury.
Kobbie Mainoo, Luke Shaw, Jonny Evans (all muscle), Ayden Heaven (ankle), Lisandro Martinez (knee) and Amad Diallo (ankle) are still sidelined.
Man City have no fresh injury concerns to report after their midweek win over Leicester.
Nathan Ake (foot), Manuel Akanji (muscle), Erling Haaland (ankle), John Stones (thigh) and Rodri (knee) remain ruled out.
When is Kick-Off?
Man Utd host Man City at Old Trafford on Sunday 6 April at 4:30pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Man Utd have won two of their last seven league meetings against City (W2, L5).
- Man City have lost two of their last five league trips to Utd (W2, D1, L2).
- Two bookings would see Utd reach a century of bookings within this Premier League fixture, having currently collected 98 bookings in 55 Premier League meetings.
- Coming into this matchweek, no Utd player has made more tackles than Noussair Mazraoui this season (88).
- All five of Omar Marmoush’s league goals for City in eight league appearances were scored on his left foot.
Prediction
Having lacked a clinical end product in their defeat at Forest and with nothing to play for, Utd can afford to go gung-ho with only local pride to play for in this game but they first must be more accurate and composed in their final touches.
Man City on the other hand can’t afford to slip up in this incredibly close race for the final Champions League qualification spot, but they can come into this off the back of a confident and clinical win over Leicester with Marmoush comfortably filling Haaland’s void up front.
Both teams though aren’t exactly consistent in terms of performance which makes me feel that this could be scrappy but if City play like they did in midweek, they should have the edge.
Prediction: Man Utd 0-1 Man City
