Stat Attack
- Bournemouth have lost one of their last five meetings against Fulham (W2, D2, L1).
- Fulham have won one of their three previous Premier League trips to Bournemouth (W1, L2).
- Ex Bournemouth striker, Dominic Solanke scored in the Cherries’ last two home games against Fulham (W2).
- Bournemouth’s last four goals in all competitions have been scored by Evanilson.
- Rodrigo Muniz has scored in each of Fulham’s last three league matches (W2, L1).
Prediction
Although Europe now seems out of sight following their dip in form, Bournemouth now need to knuckle down because it’s theoretically possible that eighth could be enough to qualify for UEFA Conference League so a win here is needed along with a more clinical display after several wasted chances at West Ham.
Fulham meanwhile were absolutely superb in their attacking intensity and final touches to come from behind to beat Liverpool, although they did an equally impressive job in their second-half defence to cling on which will give them belief coming into this crucial game which could ignite a late charge for European qualification.
The first goal therefore does feel like it will be key but if Fulham play like they did against Liverpool, I can see them having the edge but Bournemouth won’t make this easy such is their goalscoring form amidst defensive errors.
Prediction: Bournemouth 1-2 Fulham
