Chelsea continue their top-four push in a Premier League clash at home to Ipswich.
Victory will return Chelsea to fourth in the table, whilst Ipswich will remain 18th regardless of the result.
Team News
Chelsea have no fresh injury concerns to report following their UEFA Conference League victory away to Legia Warsaw.
Wesley Fofana (muscle), Romeo Lavia (fitness), Mykhailo Mudryk (suspension), Marc Guiu and Omari Kellyman (both hamstring) are still ruled out.
Ipswich could welcome Omari Hutchinson back into contention after a knock saw him miss their defeat to Wolves last weekend.
Arijanet Muric (shoulder), Sammie Szmodics (ankle), Wes Burns (ACL) and Chiedozie Ogbene (Achilles) remain ruled out.
When is Kick-Off?
Chelsea host Ipswich at Stamford Bridge on Sunday 13 April at 2pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Chelsea have lost one of their last six Premier League meetings against Ipswich (W2, D3, L1).
- Ipswich are yet to win away at Chelsea in the Premier League (D1, L4).
- Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca is yet to beat Ipswich as a manager (D2, L1).
- Maresca’s Blues have scored six goals in their last three matches at home without conceding (W3).
- Ipswich have claimed just four points in six away trips to London-based opposition this season (W1, D1, L4).
Prediction
Having produced a polished clinical away first-leg win over Legia Warsaw in their UEFA Conference League Quarter-Final, Chelsea now can afford to put their eggs into this league fixture basket in terms of full-strength selection in a game which they really need to win if want to keep the pressure up in the top-four scrap.
Ipswich meanwhile are as good as relegated after two small defensive errors cost them victory against Wolves despite having enjoyed a clinical first-half, so I do expect them to be pretty dangerous if can sort out their defensive play.
I however just don’t see Chelsea losing this if go full-strength and can play their best at home as this is no better time for Maresca to end his managerial head-to-head rut against Ipswich.
Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Ipswich
