Manchester United continue their Premier League season against Wolves at Old Trafford.
A win or draw would lift Man Utd up to 13th in the table, whilst Wolves can go 15th with a win.
Team News
Man Utd have no fresh injury concerns to report following their Europa League victory over Lyon in extra-time on Thursday (17 April) evening.
Tobias Collyer (leg), Jonny Evans (muscle), Joshua Zirkzee (hamstring, Lisandro Martinez (knee), Matthijs De Ligt, Ayden Heaven and Amad Diallo (all ankle) are still sidelined.
Wolves could be without Matt Doherty (knock), Jean Ricner-Bellegarde (calf) and Hwang Hee-Chan (muscle) subject to late fitness checks.
Sam Johnstone (muscle), Pedro Lima (ankle), Yerson Mosquera (knee), Leon Chiwone, Sasa Kalajdzic and Enso Gonzalez (all ACL) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Man Utd host Wolves at Old Trafford on Easter Sunday 20 April at 2pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Man Utd have won four of their last five meetings against Wolves (W4, L1).
- Wolves have won one of their last five visits to Man Utd (W1, D1, L3).
- Three of Utd’s last four home games against Wolves have ended in 1-0 results, of which the Red Devils won two of those three specific matches to Wolves’ one win.
- All eight of Bruno Fernandes’ league goals this season were scored on his right foot.
- Jorge Strand Larsen has scored five goals in Wolves’ last four matches (W4), during which they kept just one clean sheet.
Prediction
Despite delivering a topsy-turvy clinical comeback win over Lyon, Man Utd actually should be concerned at how they blew a 2-0 lead to find themselves 4-2 down through sloppy defensive work and fouls because those errors highlighted how fragile their defence is amidst their attacking quality.
Wolves likewise have similar worries because despite twice nearly seeing their lead swiped out against Tottenham in the second-half, their attack looked confident in energy, creativity and end product which is a huge positive coming into a game where they will have the fitness advantage.
Although Old Trafford isn’t exactly a happy hunting ground for Wolves, I really do think that they will have enough quality to win this once fatigue set in for Utd who just don’t seem to have much confidence or passion in terms of league games at the moment.
Prediction: Man Utd 1-2 Wolves
