Sheffield Wednesday face Sheffield United at Hillsborough in a huge clash for the promotion ambitions of both teams.
Victory will lift Sheffield Wednesday up to ninth and three points off the last play-off spot, whilst Sheffield Utd can return to second with a win and sit behind league leaders – Leeds on goal difference.

Sheffield Wednesday have no fresh injury concerns following their comeback midweek 3-2 win at Norwich.

Prediction
Currently amongst those outsiders hunting a play-off spot, Sheffield Wednesday can’t afford too many slip-ups if want to challenge for promotion via the play-offs but they will come into this Steel City derby with belief after a clinical second-half comeback win at Norwich after a sloppy first-half effort.
Sheffield Utd meanwhile have a chance to put further pressure on Leeds in the automatic promotion race if can produce more energy for this fierce derby than they managed against Bristol City, where they weren’t exactly sparkly in their intensity so a response is needed heading into the international break.
I however do feel that the Owls do have the better confidence and momentum coming into this derby off the midweek displays, but Chris Wilder’s Blades should at least get a point at minimum.
Prediction: Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Sheffield United
