Bromley host Salford at Hayes Lane in a decisive clash in the race for the 2024-25 League Two Play-Offs.
Victory could see Bromley climb to tenth if Chesterfield fail to win elsewhere and sit seven points off the final play-off spot, whilst Salford can stay tenth with a win and move to within six points of that last play-off position.
Team News
Following his substitute appearance in their 2-1 loss at Carlisle last weekend on his return from injury, Danny Imray could return to Bromley’s starting line-up.
Cameron Congreve will be back in contention following his return from international duty for Wales’ Under-21s team.
Marcus Dinanga (ankle) remains ruled out.
Salford have no fresh injury concerns to report ahead of this match.
When is Kick-Off?
Bromley host Salford at Hayes Lane on Saturday 29 March at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Bromley drew 3-3 away in their only previous EFL meeting against Salford in February, albeit after their initial meeting was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
- Salford are making their first EFL trip to Bromley’s Hayes Lane.
- Harry McKirdy has scored in each of Bromley’s last two matches (W1, L1).
- Salford have avoided defeat in five of their last eight league visits to London-based opposition (W4, D1, L3).
Prediction
Having once again lacked much desire away to a relegation-battling team in their loss at Carlisle amidst plenty of shaky defensive moments and poor luck in end product, Bromley now need to step it up with more intensity and halt their three-match winless run if want to keep their now faint play-off dreams alive.
Salford are however in a similar position in terms of their play-off aspirations despite sitting just one point and two positions in front of Andy Woodman’s Ravens, but come into this game off the back of a fortnight’s rest following a well-fought win at Grimsby.
Nevertheless this is must-win for both teams but if Bromley can continue their habit of stepping up against decent teams above them and cut out the defensive errors, they should have enough to take the win even if need to grind it out come the closing stages.
Prediction: Bromley 2-1 Salford
