Burnley continue their push for automatic promotion in a massive Championship clash against play-off chasing Norwich.
Victory or a draw will see Burnley move back onto the Championship summit ahead of the weekend, whilst Norwich can climb to tenth with a win.
Team News
Burnley could be without Lyle Foster after he suffered a shoulder injury during their goalless draw at Derby in midweek.
Bashir Humphreys (quad), Jonjo Shelvey, Mike Tresor (both unspecified), Manuel Benson (ankle), Jordan Beyer and Aaron Ramsey (both knee) are still ruled out.
Norwich could be without Oscar Schwartau after he suffered an unspecified injury during their goalless draw against Sunderland.
Ante Crnac (ankle) and Onel Hernandez (personal) are doubts for selection.
Lucien Mahovo (quad/knee), Gabriel Forsyth (knee), Ben Chrisene (ankle), Matej Jurasek (quad), Lewis Dobbin (calf) and Archie Mair (finger) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Burnley host Norwich at Turf Moor on Friday 11 April at 8pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Burnley have avoided defeat in five of their last six league meetings against Norwich (W4, D1, L1).
- Norwich are winless in their last eight league trips to Burnley (D1, L7).
- Burnley have kept clean sheets in six of their last eight league matches at home to Norwich.
- Another 0-0 result would see Burnley record consecutive goalless draws for the third time this season.
- Norwich have lost both of their last two away games by 2-1 results.
Prediction
Having stuttered to a pretty disappointing goalless draw at Derby in a game which they really should of won on paper if had shown up with more endeavour, Burnley now need to quickly find their goalscoring edge because they can’t afford to slip up here heading into a season-defining Easter weekend.
Norwich meanwhile know that this is realistically do-or-die for their hopes for a play-off spot because anything less than a win and their season is pretty much over, although they too must produce a more polished final touch after a scrapy draw against Sunderland.
If both teams continue to offer the same standard of sluggish performances that we saw on Tuesday evening then this should be pretty cagey, but I do think that Burnley will find a way to nick this.
Prediction: Burnley 1-0 Norwich
