From FedEx to Nike to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, it’s easy to name some of Memphis’ largest employers.
But people might not be as aware of what the top employers are in the Shelby County suburbs of Arlington, Bartlett, Collierville, Germantown, Lakeland and Millington.
As is the case with Memphis, the top employers in the suburbs are found in a variety of sectors including government, education, health care, manufacturing and more.
Here is a look at the largest employers in each Shelby County suburbs based on 2024 employee counts provided to The Commercial Appeal by each of the municipalities.
Arlington’s largest employers and employee counts
